March 10, 2010: Toronto Annual Meet: In case you needed one more reason to attend the Toronto Meet, Wilmington Trust is pleased to announce an interview and discussion with Paul Kenny, author, lecturer, and lifelong motor racing enthusiast. Join Kemp Stickney, Senior Vice President and Chief Fiduciary officer of Wilmington Trust Company, as he interviews Paul Kenny about his new and fascinating book on the life of Charles “Amherst” Villiers. ‘The Man Who Supercharged Bond’ is an extraordinary account of Villiers’ life and involvement with some of the great marques, Bugatti, Bentley, BRM among others. Learn how he came to supercharge a Rolls Royce Phantom 1 for Capt. Jack Kruse and design the supercharger for privateer racer Sir Henry "Tim" Birkin of the Bentley Boys fame. Hear more about this fascinating and important figure in the early history of motor racing. The audience will be encouraged to ask questions. See more about Paul Kenny www.themanwhosuperchargedbond.com Thursday, July 22nd, 1:00 – 2:00 pm.
